Nabucco Titanium blending high technology with Swiss mechanical precision

RAYMOND WEIL’s latest nabucco model, forged throughout in steel and titanium, catches the eye with its futuristic style and geometry. This ultra-light date chronograph, water-proof to a depth of 660 feet, is perfectly resistant in all circumstances.

The new nabucco titanium sees RAYMOND WEIL consolidate its presence at the forefront of 21st century watchmaking. This robust, alluring mechanical chronograph is the product of bold technological innovation, boasting an incisive titanium and steel case with bezel and tachometer. Its generous dimensions – 46mm in diameter, 15.6mm thick – underline its virile appearance.

Innovation stems from the use of highly sophisticated materials, allied to mechanical watchmaking precision. Titanium is light, stainless, and exceptionally durable. Allied to the robust nature of steel, it can resist everything from everyday knocks to the most extreme conditions.

Added to this latest technology is the Swiss watchmaker’s specialist savoir-faire, embodied in the Valjoux 7753 tri-compax movement. Powered by an automatic winding mechanism, the new chronograph offers a 46-hour power reserve, with reliability guaranteed by a regulating organ of 28 800 vibrations per hour. A total of 27 rubies on the movement further optimize the time-keeping function. Water-resistance to a depth of 660 feet – or a pressure of 20 ATM – is ensured by screwed-down crown, push-buttons, case-back, and a 2.5mm thick sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-glare treatment.

The high level of watchmaking performance is also evident in the nabucco titanium’s three subdials, displayed against a matt anthracite grey dial with check effect. The subdials – 12-hour subdial at 6, 30-minutes at 3, and 60-seconds at 9 – have Boston hands that chart the passing time with pinpoint precision. The easy-to-read date-window is at 4:30, with push-button date-set at 10 o’clock.

The independent family Swiss watchmaker, who strives for perfection in the tiniest detail, has lavished meticulous attention on producing the nabucco titanium. The circular bezel, with two distinct parts, has a supremely fine finish – the watchword of RAYMOND WEIL’s watchmaking know-how. The upper part, with tachometer, is in circular brushed steel, while the exterior has alternating polished ‘godron décor’ and brushed vertical bands.

All these elements are perfectly integrated with the case, which plays on the nuances between steel and titanium, reflecting the strength of nabucco’s unique style. The bracelet, with alternating links of polished steel and brushed titanium, ends with the RW signature folding-clasp, with double push-piece security. This solid yet flexible mechanism ensures the bracelet fits snugly to the wrist for maximum user comfort.

This perfect balance between technology and design reflects RAYMOND WEIL’s tremendous watchmaking tradition. Distinctive, powerful and determinedly masculine, the nabucco titanium is destined for a new generation of strong-minded men – confident in their own style and appearance.
